Lower Co-Operative Energy Rate in 2025

Dear EQUS member,

We're pleased to inform you that the Co-operative Energy Rate (CER) will be lowered to 9.4 cents/kWh as of January 1, 2025. This new, lower rate will be automatically reflected on January bills for EQUS members who have signed a contract for the CER.

All members are free to purchase electricity services from a retailer of their choice. For a current list of retailers you may choose from, visit http://www.ucahelps.alberta.ca or call 310.4822 (toll free in Alberta).

Members who do not select to purchase electricity services from EQUS’ CER or from any other retailer will default to the province’s new Rate of Last Resort (RoLR), previously known as the Regulated Rate Option (RRO).
